A Space to Meet with Jesus

Welcome to Knowing Him. This is a space for women to slow down, meet with Jesus, and hear His heart through Scripture. Each week, you’ll find devotionals, Bible studies, and reflections designed to help you walk closely with Him in everyday life.

Our hope is that this becomes a quiet corner of your day — a place to rest, reflect, and discover the depth and richness of knowing Him.

Something beautiful is unfolding. Stay tuned for our grand opening.

Moving Beyond Head Knowledge

Knowing about God is not the same as knowing Him. Our hearts were made for more than facts and verses—we were made for a living, breathing relationship with the God who sees us and loves us.

We can fill our minds with sermons, podcasts, and Bible studies and still feel distant from God. Jesus reminds us that eternal life is not just a future promise, but a present relationship: to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Knowing Him means slowing down, listening, and letting His words sink deep into our everyday lives.

God is not far off or hard to reach. He is near, patient, and inviting. He wants to be known—not just as an idea, but as a Father, Savior, and Friend. He delights when we turn our attention toward Him, even in small, simple moments.

We often settle for information instead of encounter. We stay busy, distracted, and spiritually numb. Yet deep down, we long for more—more peace, more clarity, more of His presence. That longing is His gentle pull, drawing us closer.

A Quiet Challenge for the Week
Set aside 10 quiet minutes each day to simply sit with God—no phone, no noise—just you and Him.
Choose one verse from John 17 and read it slowly each day, asking, “Lord, what are You showing me about Yourself?”

Prayer
Lord, I don’t want to just know about You—I want to truly know You. Help me to know You not just with my mind, but with my whole heart. Draw me deeper into Your presence this week. Amen.

Knowing Him changes everything.

Knowing About God vs. Knowing God

Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Many people know about God but don't know God Himself. There is a vast difference between knowing about God and knowing God—a vast difference! I can know about your relative—and still not know him in person. If I have never met him, I do not know the touch of his hand or the look of his eye or the smile of his face or the sound of his voice. I only know about him. You can show me his picture and describe him to me, but I still don't know him. I just know about the man. So it is that the human being can know about God, can know about Christ's dying for him, can even write songs and books, can be the head of religious organizations and hold important church offices—and still never have come to the vital, personal knowledge of God at all. Only by the Holy Spirit can he know God. Again, it is my contention that as a consequence of this kind of error, we really have two Christs. We have the Christ of history, the Christ of the creeds. On the other hand, there is the Christ whom only the Spirit can reveal.
